Forgotten Sewing Patterns | Vintage Tissue & Sewing Pattern Paper Pack
orgotten Sewing Patterns
Old sewing patterns are far too interesting to disappear into a cupboard — or worse, the bin.
Forgotten Sewing Patterns is a gathered collection of genuine vintage sewing-pattern papers rescued for artists, journalers, collage makers and anyone who loves working with materials that already carry a little history and character.
Each 21 cm × 25 cm pack contains a changing assortment of transparent pattern tissue, pattern papers, envelopes, instructions and other sewing-related paper finds ready to tear, layer, stitch, stamp, paint and reimagine.
These are not newly manufactured craft papers made to look old.
They are gathered materials with their own marks, typography, lines, folds and imperfections.
Not mass made, meaning made.
Your Forgotten Sewing Patterns pack may include a mixture of:
- Vintage transparent sewing-pattern tissue
- Pattern pieces in assorted shapes and sizes
- Original pattern envelopes
- Pattern instruction sheets
- Alpha-numeric dotted marking papers
- Diagram and construction pages
- Embroidery transfer paper when available
- Other vintage sewing-related papers and interesting finds
The exact mixture changes depending on what I have been able to gather.
Perfect For
Use these wonderful old papers for:
- Mixed-media artwork
- Art journaling
- Collage
- Junk journals
- Altered books
- Slow stitching
- Paper layering
- Background texture
- Gel printing
- Stamping
- Decoupage
- Tags and pockets
- Handmade cards
- Creative experimentation
The transparent tissue is particularly lovely for layering because text, colour and imagery underneath can remain partially visible.
About the Materials
These packs are made from genuine vintage and rescued sewing-pattern materials, rather than newly printed reproductions.
That means the papers may show signs of their previous life, including:
- folds and creases
- age marks
- handwriting
- faded printing
- worn edges
- pin or staple marks
- small tears
- discolouration
- variation in paper weight and transparency
I consider these characteristics part of the appeal rather than faults.
They are what make old paper interesting.
Please Note
Because these packs include vintage and rescued materials, contents will vary slightly from pack to pack as I gather them.
The photographs show the overall style, variety and type of materials you can expect rather than an exact duplicate of every individual piece.
Embroidery transfer paper and other less common materials are included when available and are not guaranteed in every pack.
Packaging
Your Forgotten Sewing Patterns collection is packed in a 21 cm × 25 cm clear protective bag with See What Sticks branding.
The transparent packaging allows you to see the wonderful layers and typography inside while keeping the delicate vintage tissue protected until you are ready to use it.
Made to Order
Each pack is individually gathered and assembled in the See What Sticks studio rather than being mass produced.
Please allow 3–5 business days for your order to be prepared before dispatch.
A Little Note From See What Sticks
I love old paper, forgotten bits, unusual textures and materials that might otherwise be overlooked.
This product is my way of putting these things back into creative hands.
Some pieces may already have lived one life.
Now you get to decide what happens next.
Gather. Layer. Tear. Stitch. Paint. Stick. Make something that is entirely yours.
